Sing, dance, move.
Play Orff instruments / recorders / drums / body percussion. Improvise.
Then let it cook and serve hot!
Participants will analyze the recipe, then perform some of Jim’s favorite pieces for upper elementary school Chorus.
Bring soprano recorders.
Author and National Clinician, Jim Solomon has over 30 years experience teaching music in public elementary schools. He has taught General Music, Chorus, Recorder, and D.R.U.M., a special percussion group for fifth-grade students.
In the summers, Jim teaches Level I Orff Certification at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. He teaches Rhythmic Training/Percussion Ensemble for Elementary/Middle School Teachers at George Mason University and Anderson University. He has presented workshops to Orff Chapters and MEAs throughout the country and at nineteen American Orff Schulwerk Association National Conferences.
Jim’s published works include, among others, Hot Jams for Recorder, Hands On,
